PARK CREW LEADER

We are hiring Park Crew Leaders for six BC Provincial Parks in Northeastern BC. We’re looking for a dynamic leaders to join our team. The six parks that we operate are:
Moberly LakeGwillim LakeSwan LakeCharlie LakeBeatton and Kiskatinaw! Discover all that Northern BC has to offer!

Job Type:

  • Seasonal Contract – Full Time 
  • May 2018 to September 2018
  • 10 on – 4 off shift rotation

Compensation:

  • $144 / day (based on an 8-hour day)
  • 4% vacation pay paid bi-weekly
  • On-site accommodations provided
  • Access to recreation equipment and camping in the parks that we operate

Duties Include


The Crew leader positions maintains all the same duties and responsibilities as the Park Operator position, additional responsibilities include:

  • Deliver recycling to recycle depot and participate in the Encorp stats program
  • Complete water system chlorine testing
  • Ensure colleagues have accurately and thoroughly completed all reports and documents
  • Monitor park progress on repair and maintenance projects according to set timelines
  • Monitor supplies and communicate re-supply requests to management in timely manner
  • Act as the point of contact for Management and relay Management communication to colleagues
  • Ensure that all colleagues are complying with Sandstorm North Contracting Policies and Safe work practices.
  • Report all incidences of non-compliance of polices to Management

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
  • Clean Criminal Record
  • Current OFA Level 1 Certification
  • Physically fit & willing/able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.
  • Available to live on-site during work shift (accommodations provided).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to handle repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
